Claire Willoughby is a theatre maker, performer and musician based in Glasgow. She creates devised work and re-imaginings of classic texts that are often inquisitive, visually stimulating and darkly humourous.

She enjoys making solo and collaborative theatre and cabaret using live music, physical movement and storytelling, and is the Artistic Director of children’s theatre company Giddy Aunt. In Scotland she has worked with Catherine Wheels, Stellar Quines and Magnetic North to name a few.

Claire recently directed Greater Belfast by Little King – which premiered at The Traverse this summer – and is currently performing in Assisted Suicide: The Musical by Liz Carr. Assisted Suicide: The Musical premiered at the Southbank Centre in September and will be touring internationally in 2017/ 2018.
